How to build a strong mind-muscle connection

Every movement you make is controlled by your brain. When your muscles contract, it’s because your muscle received a signal from your brain. Building these signals and connections will increase the number of muscle fibers (increase in muscle mass). Don’t just try to force out as many reps as you can with no thought.
Remember QUALITY over QUANTITY. Leave your ego out the door. Don’t forget to be patient and consistent. It takes time for these connections to grow.

Practice mind-muscle connection

  • Practice controlled reps
  • Warm up with 1-2 sets of light weight
  • Be present and FEEL your muscle contracting (flexing)
  • Focus ALL your attention on the specific muscle you’re working
